Wednesday!

When we arrived at the church for clinic we were greeted with this crowd who was eager to be treated.  Most people walk miles and miles to visit the clinic.  Please pray that more people come see us.  The more patients, the more treatments, the more people who get to experience the love of Jesus.

Each doctor station has a translator that helps explain diagnosis to the patient.  All stations end their time with the patient with prayer.

We adore these children, it's a special opportunity to get to love on them.

In the clinic, we do a lot of HIV tests.  After the test we always educate the patient about the disease and prevention.

Duck, Duck, Goose is a big hit for the kids!  In the afternoons we have around 70 children come to play with us.

Here's the whole team on Prayer Mountain!

The team really enjoyed hearing the comments you left on our blog.  Thank you for writing and encouraging us!  We are all enjoying our service here and are experiencing God in new, powerful ways.

  1. Firstly, the photographer(s) is(are) doing such a great job with capturing the wonderful moments. I enjoy viewing the images. I smile while viewing each image.

Secondly, I am amazed by the work you guys are doing... I love that you are ending each treatment with prayer. Continue to introduce and reinforce the power of God to the masses.

Finally, YAYAYAYAYAY... I got to see Tana... I love the hair wrap... :) Looks like you were enjoying Duck, Duck, Goose more than the kids... I am excited that I was able to see you enjoying yourself...

    Love Dom

PS... the team looks great on Prayer Mountain... Will someone please ensure Tana gets to at least see a zebra. I am giving up on her riding one... Hahahahaha... I am still praying that you guys have a wonderful time and continue to have a great impact on this population.

  2. Praying that God will continue to send many people who need care and to know of His love. What a blessing the pictures are to us back home. May God continue to reveal Himself to you throughout the week. Mathew 11:29

Great seeing you...even though its a side shot. It's amazing the work you guys are getting to do, and I pray that in the next few days you all get to see much much more people. I know if I were there I'd be consumed with duck duck goose... I love that game. I miss you, and I love you,

  5. Hey Kid,
We love getting the updates and pics. Mom cries every time she looks at your pictures (which is about every 15 minutes of her waking hours). We are both so proud of you and the work of the entire group. It is way cool to see God's work in all that your group is accomplishing. You are familiar with Psalm 91:11, and it is giving us great comfort while you are on the other side of the world. L U & C U soon. Dad, Mom, and Sis.

P.S. The Cardinals still holding on to first place.

  6. WOW again, love your photographs and stories. Y'all are so blessed to have Drs Milko and Keenan, as I hope you all know by now they are medical mission rock stars :)
Speaking of rock stars I am sure you are all enjoying Garret and Micah too.
I am so enjoying this trip already (even though I'm not there) and so thrilled about all the hearts and souls you are touching. Keep up the good work and don't grow weary. Remember to see Jesus in the faces of your suffering patients; love them, remember them, take them home with you in your memories.

  7. Hello again! Looking at all these pictures and reading about what you guys are doing each day brings back so many memories to me and makes me miss South Africa and the people there so much! Ericka, I hope that you are learning a lot, doing well, and making some great lasting memories and relationships with your team and the people of South Africa! I cannot wait to hear all about it- I miss you a lot, everytime I leave work I always want to call you like I always do in the afternoons - I quickly forget you are not here! Anyway, keep up the good work and remember the most important part of your trip is to let Jesus shine through!

  13. Hello Anthony and Jessica-
Today is Thursday. I do hope you are enjoying your time in South Africa and enjoying the work you are doing. I have really enjoyed the pictures posted on the website. I finally see pictures with the two of you in them. I don't know if you see the photos that are posted, but I am particularly touched by the photo of the woman holding the little girl. In my opinion, it is worthy of a photojournalism award! I spoke with MAW and she said to tell you she loves you, she misses you, and be safe. Anthony, I spoke with Dale. He said he likes your song choice and will talk with you when you get home. Blessings to you both and your team.
    Chat tomorrow!
    Love, Mom

  17. Ericka.
I hope you are doing well. I see you in the picture abve and you look so happy. I never though you would be the happy one not having the comforts of home, but you fooled me. Let the love of Christ shine through you so all can see what believing in Christ can do for them. Keep up the good work over there and my God continue to bless all of you.

    Love you,
    Daddy
